Saudi Arabia Pakistan train law Men On Drug Trafficking

Jeddah - Saudi Arabia authorities today to lynch a Pakistani citizen who was sentenced to death on charges of drug trafficking.

Saudi Interior Ministry stated as reported by the official Saudi news agency, SPA and reported by AFP on Thursday (09/04/2014), Izzat Gul defendants were found guilty of trafficking "large amount" of heroin. However, no specific mention of the amount of the drug.

Beheading Pakistani men was conducted in the city of Jeddah, western Saudi. With Gul beheaded over this, it means that so far has been 46 executions were carried out in the Kingdom this year.

Last month, the human rights group, Human Rights Watch (HRW) expressed concern over the increasing number of executions in Saudi. In fact, between August 4 and August 20 alone, as many as 19 people have been beheaded.

According to HRW, eight of the 19 people who are beheaded, was found guilty of non-violent offense such as drug trafficking and shamanism. HRW also called the use of death sentences in such cases "very terrible".
