Jakarta - Papua Luke Enembe governor said it is currently finalizing a draft revision of Law No. 21 Year 2001 on Special Autonomy for Papua. Luke hoped completed revision of the law in the era of the SBY administration.
"Parliament is in principle a draft waiting. We say that could be completed within one month of the SBY government in this. We wait of Home Affairs, as of the beginning of the government's own proposals," Luke said while talking to AFP, in Jakarta, Sunday (31/8 / 2014).
Luke said on August 28, 2014 then, he has met with Deputy House Speaker Priyo Budi Santoso and Vice Chairman Ahmad Yani Baleg along with a number of parties to discuss the final stages of the draft revision of the Act. According to Luke, the House responded positively to the existing draft.
"We've got the direction of the leadership of the House of Representatives next steps, such as a meeting between the factions. Later in Commission II, at least we can

Luke added it will take steps including communication with the central government's Home Minister and Coordinating Minister for Politics. Luke will explain that the revision of the Papua Special Autonomy Law was committed for the welfare of the people of Papua.
"What we do for the sake of Papua, there should not be anymore suspicion. These laws for the welfare of the people of Papua, the articles that are considered crucial gone, so must believe in the provincial government and the people of Papua, there can be no doubt and suspicion," he said .
Luke believes the revised Act will be completed before the end SBY administration. He also was sure of it because of the support of the House.
